Most of us here in Utah take eye care pretty much for granted. Sadly, there are thousands of people
in other countries who will never in their lives receive an eye exam, let alone a pair of glasses to help
them see clearly. As optometrists, we decided there was something we could do about it.
In 1984 we first traveled to Durango, Mexico to take used eyeglasses to the poor people of that area.
We had such a wonderful time that we've visited a city in Mexico every year since.
There are thousands of people in Mexico – young and old – who need eyeglasses. They are so very appreciative of the glasses they receive; they truly do make a huge difference in their lives. But we can only help to the extent that we have glasses that match the required prescriptions. As such we continually collect used eyeglasses to keep our selection high. If you have used glasses that you would like to donate, please bring or mail them to either of our offices. Perhaps our program might even serve as an Eagle Scout or youth service project. Any clean and functional glasses you no longer use will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much for your help and support. Our office addresses are:
